Marijane Barber, 74, of Alden, died Tue, May 18, 1999, at her home.
Marijane was born in Detroit on Mar 27, 1925, to Harold and Gertrude Whipple. Upon her mother's death, she was adopted by William and Nina Gaylord of Alden.
She was the beloved wife of Guy Barber whom she married on Sep 12, 1942.
Besides her husband, she is survived and loved by sons William (Frances) Barber and Robert Barber, both of Alden, David (Marilyn) Barber of Gaylord and Kenneth (Cindy) Barber of Rapid City; daughters Jane (Jerry) Roth of Mancelona and Kathryn (Patrick) Fryer of Herron; brothers Robert (Maureen) Reese of St. Louis, MO, and John (Goldie) Gaylord of Alden; sister in law, Bernice Whipple of Midland; 21 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Sons James, John, and Rodger, granddaughter Laura Barber, great granddaughter Elizabeth Roth, brother James Whipple, and favorite aunt Molly preceded in death.
Funeral services were May 21 at Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska; Rev. Richard Matson officiated.
