Mrs. Marie Mildred Krause, age 78, passed away Monday evening, Jun 17, 2002 at Mercy Hospital. She was born Mar 18, 1924 to William F and Mary (Dorsey) Johnson in Glen Arbor, MI and lived most of her life in the Muskegon area. On Oct 10, 1944, she married William F. Krause in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on Oct 10, 1970. Prior to retirement in 1984, Mrs. Krause worked in maintenance at Bennett Pump Co. for 30 years. She was a member of Moorland Community Church and was active in the auxiliaries of the VFW Post #3195 and the Fruitport Eagles. Survivors include 4 children, Mike L Krause of Newaygo, Frank A (MaryAnn) Krause of Lamont, Karen M. (Hugh) Betz of Rapid City, Karlene L Gillespie of Newaygo; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Vernon (Donna) Johnson of Saginaw; 1 sister, Doris Staton of Lexington, MI; and 3 special friends, Wayne Belanger of Muskegon, Sheela Patterson and Bernadine Klein of Ravenna.
