Mrs. Marie B. Short, 86, of Kalkaska, died Mon, Apr 25, 1994, at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Mrs. Short had been a lifelong resident of Kalkaska County, and was a member of the Evergreen Bible Baptist Church. She worked for many years on the family farm, and had been employed by the Kalkaska Public Schools and Vivian's Restaurant.
Mrs. Short was born in Kalkaska County on Apr 16, 1908, to Guy and Nellie Ball Hayes. On Sep 4, 1927, in Kalkaska County, she was united in marriage with Andrew Sieting who preceded her in death on Dec 1, 1969. She married William Short in Kalkaska in 1977, and he survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Alan Sieting of Galesburg, Lynn Sieting of Rogers City, Gayle Sieting of California, and Kent Sieting of Kalksaka; two stepsons, Ray Short and Robert Short both of Kalkaska; one daughter, Sue Ann Jenkins of Kalkaska; one step daughter, Elaine Hiller of Jackson; 24 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Fri, Apr 29, 1994, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. Dean Collings, pastor of the Evergreen Bible Baptist Church officiated.
Burial was in Lodi Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
