Marie Julia Stock, 85, a lifetime Lapeer resident, passed away Saturday (March 1, 2008). She was born January 13, 1923, in Brown City, to Peter and Margaret (Sebastian) Krakker. She married James Leo Stock on June 2, 1945 in Lapeer. Mrs. Stock was a farm wife all of her life and a teacher. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She is survived by her children, Marilyn (Tom) Burch of Dryden, David (Tawnya) Stock of Davison, Carolyn (Dick) Boellner of Ottawa Lake, MI, Eileen (Steve) Irish of Albuquerque, NM, Jim Stock of Lapeer, Bill Stock of Lapeer, Dan (Sally) Stock of Lapeer, Joe ( Sue) Stock of Columbiaville, Jack Stock of Flint, Ann (Dennis) Dupre of Caro, Matt (Sherry) Stock of Lapeer; 26 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; siblings, Theresa Plummer of Marlette, Susan Felton of New Port Ritchie, FL, Isabel Leach of Lapeer, Peter ( Donna) Krakker of Lapeer, Joseph (Billie) Krakker of Royal Oak, Francis Krakker of Lapeer, Mary Ann Smith of Davison. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Stock; grandson, Patrick Stock; parents, Peter and Margaret Krakker; siblings, Margaret Griggs, Thomas Krakker, John Krakker, Charles Krakker, Nicholas Krakker. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul or Genesys Hospice. Funeral Mass was held Thursday (March 6, 2008) at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Davison. Father Andrew Czajkowski was the celebrant. Burial was in Mt. Loretto Cemetery, Lapeer.
