Marguerite A. Rice, age 74, died Wed, Aug 14, 2002 at her home. Mrs. Rice lived in Hickory Corners, MI for 12 years, and was previously from Glen Ellyn, IL, and Marlette, MI. She was born May 31, 1928 in Marlette, MI daughter to the late Charles and Jane (Clark) Walker. She graduated from Marlette High School in 1945, and attended Baldwin Wallace College in Berean, OH. Mrs. Rice was a member of the Gull Lake Community Church in Richland, MI. She owned and operated The Book Store in Glen Ellyn, IL for 20 years. On Nov 25, 1946 in Marlette, MI she married Jack Rice, and he preceded her in death, Dec 25, 1981. Surviving are sons, Harold (Sally) Rice of Saint Johns, MI, David (Alison) Rice of Clarendon Hills, IL; daughter, Sally Reynolds of Hickory Corners, MI; 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; brother Bob Walker of Marlette, MI. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Marion Brown and Marjorie Calkins. Funeral Services will be held Mon, Aug 19, 2002 at 1pm at Marsh Funeral Chapel in Marlette, with Pastor Merlin Pratt officiating.
