Margie Mae Blake, 89. of Kalkaska, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 1,2002, at St. Mary's Hospital in Saginaw. She was born on June 20. 1913. in Greenup County, Ky., the daughter of William and Laura (Craycraft) Williams.
Margie married Floyd James Blake on June 29. 1929. in Hulbert. She was a resident of Kalkaska County since 1930. Mrs. Blake was a school bus driver in Fife Lake for 18 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Fife Lake and a past member of the Rebekkah Lodge.
Mrs. Blake is survived by her children: Mike (Betty) Blake of Kalkaska, Carol E. Bremer of Reese, Terry I. (Victor) Vipond of Spring Lake, Frank R. (Charlotte) Blake of Fife Lake and Charles G. (Mary) Blake of Crensent, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren.; eight great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Pearl Felt, of Naples, Fla.
Mrs. Blake was preceded in death by her husband Floyd; son-in-law Rod. C. Bremer; grandchildren Ben Bremer, Eric Bremer and Robin Cottrell.
Funeral services were held Dec. 5 at the United Methodist Church in Fife Lake. Interment will be at Clark Cemetery in Springfield Township.
Memorials may be given in behalf of Margie Mae Blake to the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center Long Term Care Unit.
