Margaret L. "Foxy" Fox, 82, of Fife Lake, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2005, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center-Long Term Care.
Margaret was born on April 21, 1922, in Howell, the daughter of Merrill and Vada (Beck) Major. She married Walter F. Ricketts, who preceded her in death in 1958. Later she married Fabian S. Fox, and he passed away in 1972.
Margaret retired from Howell Apperatus after 35 years of service. Then, she cooked at the Yankee Boy Restaurant in South Boardman for another 10 years.
Surviving are her children, Sharon L. Zimmerman of Branch, Ron W. Ricketts of Fife Lake and Cherise L. (Gordy) Herrick of Fife Lake; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her sister, Janice Cranston of Irons; and her brothers, Cliffton (Margie) Major of Novi and Orland (Helen) Major of Fife Lake.
Margaret was preceded in death by both of her husbands, Walter and Fabian; her daughter, Sue Ann Hart in 2002; her grandson, John Edward Ricketts in 1987; and her four brothers, Tony, Cortland, Orville and Sheldon Major.
Visitation will be today, April 8, 2005, from noon until 8 p.m., at Wolfe Funeral Home. There will be additional visitation on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m., also at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Garfield Township Cemetery.
