Mrs. James D. Stacy, nee Margaret Jane McKenna, after a long illness, died May 11, at her residence, 326 South Humphrey. She had been a resident of Oak Park since 1895 and was interested and active in both civic and social affairs and all who were acquainted with her new of the good deeds she performed during her many years of illness.
She was a member of St. Catherine of Sienna church, where requiem high mass was sung Wednesday morning. Interment was at Mount Carmel.
Besides her husband she leaves her mother, Mrs. Edward P. McKenna; her sisters, Anna of White Plains, NY, and Martha McKenna; Mrs. J Frank Stacy, Mrs. Thaddeus Walsh, her brother, James M. McKenna of Oak Park, and her brother, Edward P. McKenna of Hinsdale, Ill.
Mrs. Stacy maintained an interest in affairs of the village until her death. She was especially active in charitable projects and was an enthusiastic worker for Oak Park hospital during its building and in after years.
