Margaret A. “Peggy” Foster, age 79, of Brown City, died Jul 11, 2023. She was born in Flint to Charles and Nellie Setter. Peggy graduated from Brown City High school Class of 1961. She was united in marriage to Carl L. Foster on Nov 5, 1960.
A wife, homemaker, and mother Peggy also had worked at Marion’s Photographic Studio for 15 years as a lab technician. She enjoyed working in her flower garden in the summer and designing and assembling quilts in the winter. Peggy was a 4-H Leader for the Burnside Busy Bees for many years and a lifetime member of Faith Baptist Church in Brown City.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years Carl Foster, three children, Leora (Ken) Cooper, Alan (Sue) Foster, and Carlene (Larry) Turrell and son in law Jeff Parr. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and a brother Lon (Kim) Setter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother James Setter and a daughter, Linette Parr.
The visitation will be Friday, Jul 14, 2023 from 2 until 8 pm at Faith Baptist Church in Brown City.
The funeral service will be at 1 pm on Sat, Jul 15, 2023, at Faith Baptist Church in Brown City and burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Marlette United Hospice or a favorite charity.
