Manley D. Parsons, 74, of Kalkaska, died Mon, May 16, 1994, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
Mr. Parsons moved to Kalkaska from Grand Ledge in 1972. He served in the Army Air Force during WWII, and was a life member of Land O'Lakes V.F.W. Post 8684.
Born in Ionia on Jan 17, 1920, he was the son of Newton and Elsie Loveless Parsons. On Mar 23, 1946, in Lansing, he was married to Shirley Ries who preceded him in death on Oct 12, 1989.
Surviving are one son, Randy (Cindy) Parsons of Kinglsey; two sisters, Lois Crouch of Fife Lake and Anna Kill of Kalkaska; two brothers, Ezra Parsons of Kalkaska, and Robert Parson of Grand Ledge; two grandchildren, Heather and Terry Parsons of Kingsley; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Floyd, Howard, and Otto; and two sisters, Ruth and Thelma.
Memorial services were held Wed, May 18, 1994 at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. Scott Rhoades officiated. Military rites were conducted under the auspices of Land O'Lakes Post 8684.
