Malcolm “Bud” Pierce, 67, of Dowling died Mon, Jan 17, 1994 at Battle Creek Health System/ Community Site.
He was born Feb 14, 1926, in Hastings to Marshall F and Doris M (Stanton) Pierce. He attended Hastings High School.
Mr. Pierce served in the US Navy from 1943 to 1946. He worked for Goodyear Hardware in Hastings, Orson Coe auto dealers in Hastings, and Battle Creek, Oliver Corp in Battle Creek, and the Michigan Highway Department from 1957 to 1991. He enjoyed woodworking and music.
He married the former Jean Stampfler on Dec 29, 1951. She survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Brenda Rohe of Hastings; sons, Thomas Pierce of Nashville and Marshall Pierce of Lowell; four grandchildren; sisters, Nyla Stanton of Dowling, and Marian Rauteman of Gulf Shores, AL; brothers, Stanley Pierce of Hastings and Emmett Pierce of Charlotte; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Mark Pierce in 1960.
Visitation 7 to 9pm today at Girrbach Funeral Home, Hastings. Service 1 pm Thursday at the funeral home, the Rev. Kenneth Vaught officiating. Burial at Dowling Cemetery.
