Mae A (Jones) Neilsen, 93, of Dade City, FL, and formerly of Battle Creek, died Wed, Jan 23, 1991, in Humana Hospital, Dade City, where she had been a patient since Jan 2. She previously was a resident of Royal Oak Nursing Resort in Dade City.
She was born in Poneto, IN, and came to Battle Creek 46 years ago from Manton.
She had wintered in the Dade City/ Tampa area of Florida since 1983 and moved there permanently in Feb 1990.
She enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, traveling, quilting, sewing and making clothes for her children, grandchildren, and neighbors. She enjoyed canning vegetables, and at one time, had canned more than 500 quarts of corns, beans, and tomatoes each year.
Surviving are daughters, Jeraline L Macey of Dowling, and Lucille P. Brown of Dade City; nine grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren; and a brother, Tilfer Jones of Marshall.
Her first husband Otto A Lanning, died in 1966 after 51 years of
