Mable M. Scott. 94, passed away Feb. 5. 2003, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center in Kalkaska.
She was born Aug. 2, 1908. in Otsego County, the daughter of Charles and Lulu Belle (Pennell) McNamara. Mable married Homer R. Scott and they were residents of Rapid City since 1941.
Mable was a 4-H leader. She taught sewing and was a great seamstress. Mable was also a wonderful cook and enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and loved fishing.
Mable is survived by her children, Arlene L. (Jack) Bloxsom of St Ignace, Alan H. (Norena) Scott of Rapid City, Mable "Carol" (Norman) Sieting of Rapid City; stepdaughters Irene Cooper of Traverse City and Barbara Hoover of Hanover; 20 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Homer, son Charles D. Scott, and stepsons William R. Scott and Homer 'Carl" Scott.
Her funeral service was conducted Feb. 10 at Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska. Interment will be in Clearwater Township Cemetery.
Memorials may be given on behalf of Mable M. Scott to the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center- Long Term Care.
