Mable Irene Carver McGahey, of Dafter, died Nov 1, 2005 at Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey.
She was born Jul 24, 1920, in Brimley. She enjoyed playing bingo and traveling, and was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church of Rudyard.
Mrs. McGahey was preceded in death by three husbands, Glenn McGahey, Gordon Carver, and Chester McGahey, a stepson William Carver, five brothers, William, John, Wilford, Morris, and Howard Meehan, a sister, Myrtle Meehan and her parents, Francis and Verna (Crawley) Meehan.
She is survived by her two sons and their families, Richard and Mary McGahey of Dafter, and James and Dorothy Carver of Whittaker, CA, two stepsons and their families, Donald and Ingrid Carver of Wolverine, and Robert and Elaine Carver of Indian River, one sister, Mary Etta Dear of Flint, one brother, Jerome Meehan of Nashville, 18 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.
Visitation was Thur, Nov 3, at Clark Bailey Newhouse Funeral Home and a funeral mass was Fri, Nov 4, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Rudyard with Father Cyriac Kottayarikil presiding.
