Lyman M. Lamoreaux, 78, of Higgins Lake, died Sep 6, 2001, at Hilltop Manor Health Care Center.
Mr. Lamoreaux was born in South Boardman Feb 3, 1923, to Earl and Minnie (Hendricks) Lamoreaux. He lived in Troy before moving to Roscommon in 1985. He married Lenore C Atkins on Dec 22, 1945, in Toledo, OH. She survives.
Mr. Lamoreaux worked as an engineer for 32 years at General Motors Corp and retired in 1984. He attended Houghton Lake United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, having served during WWII.
He was predeceased by his parents and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Lenore; daughter, Jeanne Lamoreaux of San Jose, CA; and sister, Phyllis Weessies of Lowell.
Arrangements were provided by Walsh Funeral Home of Roscommon. A service was held Sep 10, with Pastor Calvin D Long officiating. Burial was held in Garrish Township Cemetery with military honors provided by Charles M Engel VFW Post 4159. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Houghton Lake United Methodist Church.
