Lyle Don Kniss, 93, of Bellaire, passed away Thu, Jul 12, 2007, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center - LTC. He was born Dec 14, 1913 in Kalkaska, the son of the late Forrest and Nettie (Miller) Kniss.
Lyle married Joyce E Darke on Sep 2, 1939 in OH. In 1968, he retired from the Chevrolet dealership in Bellaire a job he truly enjoyed. Lyle's other interests were wood carving and hunting and fishing.
He us survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Joyce; daughter, Jo Ann Church of Wyoming MI; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
Preceding Lyle in death were his parents; his children, Larry Kniss and Cheryl Nobel; and his great granddaughter, Jessica Joyce Hudson.
Funeral services for Lyle were held Sun, Jul 15, 2007 at 3 pm at Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home in Kalkaska, with Pastor Bruce Standfest of the Open Doors Ministry officiating. Burial will be at Oliver Township Cemetery.
