Lyle D. Roy, 34, of Fife Lake, died Mon, Jun 5, 1995, at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Mr. Roy moved to Kalkaska County nine years ago from Pontiac. He served with the U.S. Marine Corps, and at the time of his death was employed by Dowell Schlumberger, Inc.
Born in Elmira, NY, on Jan 13, 1961, he was the son of Lyle A and Cressie Byers Roy. On Nov 5, 1994, he married Ruth Major who survives.
Also surviving are six children, Al, David, and Kyle all of Fife Lake, and Austin, Lydia, and Zachariah at home, his parents of Pontiac; five brothers, Steve, John, and Chris of South Carolina and Nathan and Philip of Pontiac; two sisters, Judy Cox of Florida and Jane Stewart of South Carolina; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services were held Thu, Jun 8, 1995, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. Richard Jones officiated. Burial was in Boardman Township Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
