Bernice Tucker Jeffers, 102, of Petersburg, widow of Carl Vance Jeffers, died Thu, Jun 26, 2003 in Colonial Heights Health Care Center.
She was a native of Petersburg and was the daughter of the late William Edwin and Annie Harris Tucker. She was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church.
She is survived by her son, Ronald C. Jeffers and his wife, Sarah W. Jeffers of Chester; daughter in law, Orchel C. Jeffers of Chesterfield; seven grandchildren, Roger Jeffers, Linda Watts, Alan Jeffers, Pamela Jeffers, Ronald Jeffers Jr, Letha Jeffers, and Ginger Inge; five great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2 pm on Tue, Jul 1 in Blandford Cemetery with Pastor Wayne Spangenberg of Seventh Day Adventist Church officiating. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Moriss & Son Funeral Home on Monday from 7 to 8:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Building Fund, Seventh Day Adventist Church, 300 Poplar Drive, Petersburg, VA 23805.
