Lucille S. Lamport, 65, R.R. 6, died Monday at Community Hospital, Indianapolis, after a brief illness.
Mrs. Lamport was a native Peoria, Ill., and a graduate of Academy of Our Lady High School in Peoria. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, a sponsor of Mu Alpha Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, corresponding secretary and past president of St. Anne Society, a past officer of St. Anne Mother’s Club, a member of Henry County Migrant Council for several years and director for nine years of Westminster Well Baby Clinic. She also was active in Cub Scouts.
Survivors include her husband, Elmon, New Castle; one daughter, Lynn Storie, New Castle; one son, Lawrence, Indianapolis; two grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Jeffries, Omaha, Neb., and Mary Burroughs, Indianapolis, and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Lamport was preceded in death by one brother, Robert W. Stacy.
Memorial contributions may be given to New Castle-Henry County Police Emergency First Aid Unit and American Cancer Society.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Anne Catholic Church, with Lt. Cmdr. Kenneth Murphy officiating. Burial will be in St. Anne Cemetery. Friends may call 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Main & Frame Funeral Home.
