Mrs. Earl E. Ayers Sr, 69, of 406 E. Loomis St died Sunday at 12:15 pm in University Hospital, Annm Arbor, where she had been a patient for one month.
Louise Bertha Zachow was born Apr 28, 1895, in Ludington where she had resided all her life.
She was married Oct 6, 1917 in Detroit to Earl E Ayers, who died in 1952. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid.
Mrs. Ayers has assisted as te bookkeeper of the Ayers Plumbing and Heating Co for many years, first with her husband and then with her sons, Earl and Robert.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Harry (Louise) Rechtin of Midland, Mrs. Kenneth (Alice) Hull of route 1 Ludington, and Mrs. Lee (Helen) Nass of Grand Rapids; two sons Earl E Jr and Robert E, both of Ludington, two sisters, Mrs. Erving (Edith) Yeck and Miss Mary Zachow, both of Ludington, two brothers, Henry and William Zachow of Ludington, 14 grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm Wednesday from St. John’s Lutheran Church. The body is at Dorrell Funeral Home
