Louis “Buddy” Mason Greiner, Jr, 69, of Warwood, WV, died Jun 27, 2023.
He was born Oct 23,1953, son of Martha Jane Welshhans Greiner and the late Louis Mason Greiner, Sr.
Lou was a lifelong resident of Warwood, where he graduated from Warwood High School in 1971. He attended WVU from 1971-1974 and loved watching WVU football and basketball, as well as the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers.
He was a lifetime member of the Cave Club, IOLA Club and PAP clubs, along with the Snake Club and Warwood Vets. He was also a member of the Demolay and later a mason with Nelson Lodge #30, which became Ohio 1 after it was absorbed. He worked at Plumbers and Steamfitters Local #83 and acquired state recognition in his apprenticeship. He was also recording secretary and held various other positions in the union during his working years.
Lou was a Presbyterian by faith and a Boy Scout that received the God and Country award at the Warwood Presbyterian Church. He grew up loving to roam the hills of Wheeling and fish the Ohio River, as well as the state of WV, particularly Dolly Sods and Cranberry Gardens.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by sister, Peggy (Philip) Todd; niece, Andrea (Josh) Wynn; nephew, Justin (Vicki) Michael; great nephew, Collin Michael; and great nieces, Layla Michael and Mason Wynn.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
