Mr. Louis D. “L.D.” Zimmerman, aged 83, of Grand Rapids, passed away unexpectedly Tue, Dec 26, 2000 while visiting his daughter in Florida. Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Kay (nee Grose); his children, Richard (Donna) Zimmerman, Ronald (Kathy) Zimmerman, Linda Zimmerman, Shirley (Carl) Hilton; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brothers, Don (Iva) Zimmerman, Leo (Evelyn) Zimmerman; sister in law, Edna Zimmerman; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Max Zimmerman; and sister, Ruth Hyatt. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing and all sportsman’s activities. L.D. was a lifelong mechanic having run Zimmerman’s Garage with his family. Funeral and Committal Services will be conducted Sat at 11am at the funeral home. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive visitors Fri 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm and Sat one hour prior to the service at the Arsulowicz Brothers Mortuary, Remembrance, 3525 Remembrance Rd. Memorial contributions to a charity of one’s choice will be appreciated.
