Loretta M. (Ellinger) Stacy, 88, passed away Jan 21, 2000, at Kingswood Manor Health Center. Mass of the Resurrection will be 10 a.m. Saturday, January 29, at Visitation Church; burial following at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, January 28, at the church. In lieu of flowers, she suggested contributions to the Benedictine Sisters, 8300 Morganford Rd, St. Louis, MO 63123, or the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity – New Guinea Mission, P.O. Box 2178, Cathedral City, CA 92235-9981.

Loretta was born on September 16, 1911, in Kansas City, MO, to Maurice R. and Honora (Faherty) Ellinger and lived in Kansas City most of her life. She graduated from Redemptorist Academy and was the first full-time secretary of St. Francis Xavier Parish. Following her marriage to Robert W. Stacy she became a full-time homemaker, devoted to her husband and his career, their children, their schools, sports, activities and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her sister, Mary Francis Tungett; and her daughter in law, Ann Stacy. She is survived by her children, Sheila K Johnson and her husband Phil of El Dorado, KS, R. William Stacy Jr, Jim Stacy and his wife, Jan, John Stacy and his wife, Karen, all of Kansas City; her grandchildren; David Stacy and his wife, Lyn, Susan Stacy Faulkenberry, and her husband John, Stacy Johnson Taylor and her husband Mike, Katie Stacy, Michael Stacy, Ann Stacy, Patrick Stacy and Laura Stacy; and four great grandchildren, Bobby and Thomas Faulkenberry, Alex Deal, and Michelle Taylor. She is also survived by her siblings, Maurice Ellinger, Jane Corrigan, Virginia Lafferty, Bob Ellinger and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.  (Arrangements: Muehlebach Funeral Home)
