Mrs. Lola B. Valentine, 69, of Kalkaska, died Fri, Oct 20, 1995 at Munson Medical Center.
Mrs. Valentine resided in Thornville until 12 years ago when she moved to Kalkaska. She had been a volunteer for the Commission on Aging.
Born in Oakwood on Oct 20, 1926, she was the daughter of Jesse and Eva Blimka Headley. She married Floyd Valentine in Saginaw on May 29, 1951. He preceded her in death on Jul 16, 1978.
One brother, Clayton, and one sister, Irene, also preceded her in death.
Surviving are three sons, Jesse, Sr of Kalkaska, Raymond of Marlette, and Leon of Midland; two daughters, Elaine Grudnel of Rapid City, and Lou Anna Sobbry of Okeechobee, FL; five brothers, Leon and Duane Headley both of St. Helen, William Headley of Rapid City, Raymond Headley of Mancelona, and Michael Headley of Flint; two sisters, Nancy Snyder of Thornville, and Jessica Williams of Caro; 11 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Mon, Oct 23, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Pastor David Standfest officiated. Cremation followed funeral services.
