Lois Pringle, 68, of Marlette, died Mon, Feb 3, 1992 at Marlette Community Hospital. 

A native of Kalkaska, she retired from Marlette Community Hospital after more than 20 years of service as a registered nurse. She became a mentor and friend to many people at the hospital. She also worked at Hills & Dales Hospital in Cass City, Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Caro State Hospital and at Dr. McCrea's office in Marlette. 

She was a 1942 graduate of Grace Hospital School of Nursing and was active in the Philomathen Club, the American Cancer Society, the the Eye Bank and Marlette Hospice. She was a member of Marlette First Presbyterian Church. 

She was born in Kalkaska on Sep 23, 1923 to Arthur and Minnie (Andersen) Burnett. 

She is survived by three daughters, Gayle Johnson of California, Beverly Pringle of Maryland, Barbara Dickinson of Massachusetts; two sons, Thomas Pringle of California and Jeffrey Pringle of Georgia; one sister Geraldine Storey of Lapeer and one brother Charles Burnett of Alabama and five grandchildren, Brian, Diana, Debbie, Greg, and Betsey and many loving nieces, nephews, and special friends. 

She was preceded in death by one brother William and two sisters, Roberta and Frances. 

Services were held Thu, Feb 6, at the Marsh Funeral Chapel in Marlette. Rev. John R. Allan officiated. 

Another funeral service was held at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska on Fri, Feb 7 with interment in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska County. 

Memorials may be directed to the Marlette Hospice.
