Lloyd L. Knepper, 80, of Rapid City, formerly of Bridgeport, died Wed, Oct 4, 2000, at his home.
Lloyd was born in Omaha, NE on Nov 22, 1919, the son of Joseph and Florence Knepper.
On Jul 9, 1944, at Ft. Knox, KY, he married Ellen Morrison, who survives.
He served with the U.S. Army during WWII. Lloyd enjoyed videos and contacting friends with his CB Radio.
He moved to Rapid City in 1982, following his retirement as a custodian at the Bridgeport-Spaulding schools.
Besides his wife, he is survived by daughters Sharon Ellen August of Riverdale, and Connie (Ross) Cornejo and Kim (David) Sprunger, both of Merrill; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. \He was preceded in death by a son, a great grandson, and his brothers and sisters.
Funeral services were Oct 7 at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska; Rev. William Kuiper officiated.
Graveside services were at Clearwater Township Cemetery under the auspices of Land O' Lakes Post 8684.
