Linette J. Parr, age 56, of Brown City, MI, passed away after a fearless battle with cancer, at her home with family by her side, Tue, Feb 20, 2018.
She was born Jun 7, 1961 in Marlette, MI, daughter of Carl and Peg (Setter) Foster. Linette graduated from Brown City High School with the Class of 1979. She married Jeffrey J. Parr Sep 6, 1980 in Brown City, MI. Linette was a cook at Brown City Community Schools for 24 years and Maple Valley Township Treasurer for 27 years. She was a 4-H Leader and always looked forward to fair week. Linette had a passion for online shopping. She loved spending time with family and friends, fishing trips to Drummond Island, yard work and flower gardening.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jeffrey Parr; one daughter, Erica (Eric) Wilson; one son, Jay (Tara) Parr; two grandchildren, Millie and Hazel Parr; her parents, Carl and Peg Foster; siblings, Leora (Ken) Cooper, Alan (Sue) Foster and Carlene (Larry) Turrell; several nieces and nephews; grandfather, Charles Setter; father in law, Bob Parr and his special friend, Marie Jacobson.
Linette was preceded in death by her grandparents, Nellie Setter, and Lee and Ruth Foster; an uncle, James Setter; and brother in law, Daniel Parr.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 8 pm Fri, Feb 23, 2018 and 10 am until time of the service Saturday at Marsh Funeral Home in Marlette, MI.
A Funeral Service will take place at 11 am Sat, Feb 24, 2018 at Marsh Funeral Chapel in Marlette, MI with Reverend Richard Wilson officiating.
Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery Brown City, MI.
