Linda Lee Rhoat of Kalkaska, MI passed away on January 9, 2007 with her family by her side at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center. Born on April 12, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Olive {Charbonneau} Schmidt.
The devoted mother of Dan (Kathy Davis) Rhoat of Kalkaska, MI; John Rhoat of Florida; Amy (George) Raymond of Kalkaska, MI and Ann (Todd) Newberry of Kingsley; loving mother-in-law of Donna Lee of Kalkaska; grandmother of Dan, Shanda and Amber Rhoat, all of Kalkaska, MI; great-grandmother of Hunter Rhoat and cherished sister of Marylou (Howard) Emmert of Minnesota; Sally (John) Peters and Roy (Rita) Schmidt, all of Green Bay, WI; Carol Raymond of Kalkaska, MI; Cindy (Roy) Shanks of Algoma, WI; Jerry (Cheri) Schmidt of Green Bay, WI and Rose (Ole) Dunham of Kalkaska, MI and cherished sister-in-law Betty (Dale) Bogart of Kalkaska, MI.
Preceding her in death is her beloved husband Gordon in 1998 and her sister Bonnie Long.
Linda married Gordon A. Rhoat on August 30, 1961 in Green Bay, WI. Together they moved to Kalkaska in 1963. Linda loved her family, her cat Mookey and her dog Teddy. She enjoyed flower gardening and her vegetable garden.
Funeral services were held on January 13, 2007 with Pastor Mark McCool of Antrim Church of Christ officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery of Kalkaska, MI.
