Lethal W. “Lee” Stuck, 86, Houghton Lake, died at his home Mar 29, 2014, with his family by his side.
A Mass of Christian burial was held Apr 1 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, with Father Joe Muskiewicz officiating. Burial was in the Roscommon Township Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of the Lake Catholic School Endowment Fund. Christler Funeral Home, Prudenville Chapel, handled arrangement.
He was born Apr 9, 1927, in Gladwin, the son of Lester and Marian (Morrison) Stuck. He served in the US Navy during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He moved to Houghton Lake in 1944 from Saginaw. He and Mary L. Webb were united in marriage on May 2, 1950, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Prudenville.
Mr. Stuck was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, Houghton Lake Elks and American Legion. He was a former school board member for Houghton Lake Community Schools, he was on the board of directors for Roscommon State Bank and was the 1963 Marshall of Tipup Town. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, and sail boating. He especially loved to go camping.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Mary Stuck of Houghton Lake; sons, Steven Stuck of Houghton Lake and Michael (Joyce) Stuck of Houghton Lake; daughters, Kathryn (Michael) Gagne of AR and Mary Lee (Joseph) Gartner of Pennsylvania; 16 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Brownie (Mary) Stuck of Kalkaska and Gerry (Mary) Stuck of Texas; and sister, Marilyn Thompson of Grand Rapids.
