Letha E Cunningham, 86, of Lompoc, CA, formerly of Kalkaska, died Mon, May 21, 2001, in Lompoc.
Mrs. Cunningham was born in Memphis, MI on May 18, 1915, the daughter of James and Ethel (Phillips) Eagling. She was married to John G Cunningham in Drayton Plains on Apr 17, 1937. He preceded her in death on Sep 6, 1971.
Letha and John owned and operated Cunningham Electric in Kalkaska for 22 years. She loved people, and for 25 years performed volunteer work in the Kalkaska area. The last few years, she lived with her son and daughter in law, Lloyd an Sharon Cunningham, in Lompoc, CA. She was a member of the Kalkaska Church of Christ, Traverse City Chapter 147 OES, and Fife Lake Rebekah Lodge 97.
Surviving are son Lloyd (Sharon) Cunningham of Lompoc, CA; granddaughters, Debra (Stuart) Brown of Picayune, Miss and Jacqueline Hines of Ventura, CA; great grand children, Jacob and Elizabeth Brown and David HInes; brother, Basil (Mary) Eagling of Rochester Hills; foster daughter, Edith Whitehead of Kalkaska; sister in law, Katherine Cunningham of Clarkston; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
A brother, Eldon Eagling preceded her in death.
Funeral services were May 30, 2001, at the Kalkaska Church of Christ. E Dan Johnson officiated. Burial was in Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.
