Lester L. Hulbert, 84, of Kalkaska, died Fri, Dec 24, 1993, at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Mr. Hulbert had lived in the Kalkaska area since 1915. he spent his early years as a farmer; then engaged in a variety of occupations with McFadden Corporation, Nash-Kelvinator, Wayne Wire Cloth Products, Kalkaska Construction Co., and as a builder, real estate salesman and County Equalization Director. He was a member of the Kalkaska Church of Christ and the Boardman Area Senior Citizens Club.
Mr. Hulbert was born in Wexford County on Sep 28, 1909, to Herbert and Verna Russell Hulbert. On Jan 26, 1930, in Lansing, he married Alice Crane who survives.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Gordon Hulbert of Fife Lake; two daughters, Jean Lantzer and Patricia Hulbert both of Kalkaska; one sister, Dora Bullard of Flint; 11 grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren.
Three siblings preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held Wed, Dec 29, 1993, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Leroy Lantzer officiated. Burial was in Garfield Township Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
