Mrs. Leota M. Barnes, 85, of Kalkaska, died Thu, Oct 19, 1995, at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Mrs. Barnes resided in several cities, including Port Huron, Warren, and Rochester prior to moving to Kalkaska 14 years ago. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Barnes was born in Sanilac County on Sep 7, 1910, to Walter and Carrie Kennedy Gray. On Apr 10, 1939, in Toledo, OH, she married Walter Barnes who preceded her in death on Feb 10, 1986.
Two brothers, Harold and Cecil Gray, and two sisters, Helen Gray and Erva Baird, also preceded her in death.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Sun, Oct 22, 1995, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. Ted Turanski officiated. Burial was in Coldsprings Township Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
