Leonette Jane Johnson passed away with her family by her side on Dec 19, 2003, at her home in Rapid City.
She was born on Nov 25, 1940, in Rapid City, the daughter of Hurdes "Doc" and Ardeith (Packer) Hanson
Leonette married Larry L Johnson on Jan 11, 1958, in South Boardman, and he preceded her in death on Aug 29, 1995. She worked in the Kalkaska Latchkey Program. Leonette enjoyed cooking, canning, and being with her grandchildren, family, and friends.
Surviving are Leonette's children, Kim L (David) Gibson of South Boardman, Ron L Johnson of Kehei, Hawaii, Ardeith L (Stephen) Larson of South Boardman, and Christine L (Arnie) Omsberg of Rapid City; grandchildren, Kevin, Craig, Katy, Amber, James, Tracy, Kristin, Larry, Emily, Tyler, and Kristopher; four great grandchildren, and her brother, Richard L Hanson of Fontana, CA.
The funeral service was held Dec 23 at Wolfe Funeral Home. The Rev. Steven Packer officiated. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
Memorials may be given in behalf of Leonette to Munson Hospice.
