Leonard S. Snyder, age 70, of Lake City passed away March 22, 2011 at Mercy Hospital in Cadillac.
Leonard was born March 13, 1941 in Springfield Township, Kalkaska County, to Luther and Virgie (Proctor) Snyder. He married the former Joan Helsel December 17, 1960. He worked in the woods, logging and harvesting Christmas trees. He loved fishing, hunting and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Joan; and children; Michael (Mary) Snyder of Lake City, Patty (Louie) Peterson of East Jordan and Susan (Brett) Jenkins of Lake City. Also, 12 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren; and a sister, Ellen Helsel of Grayling.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Luella; and brother in law, Herbert Helsel.
