Leola L. Sylvester, age 57 years, passed away Tuesday afternoon, September 24, 1985 at Bay Medical Center following a long illness. She was born in Flint on December 5, 1927, but had been a Kawkawlin resident most of her lifetime. She was a member of St. Anne Church in Linwood. Surviving are her husband, Kenneth; three sons and daughters – in – law, Kenneth Jr. and Karen Sylvester of Auburn, Thomas and Joyce Sylvester of Linwood, Wesley A. and Catherine Sylvester of San Jose, California; one daughter, LeAnn Sylvester at home; five grandchildren, Wayne, Jodi, Thomas, Jeremy and Diana Sylvester; three sisters, Mrs. Vivian Gragg of Ypsilanti, Mrs. Joyce Durand of Fenton, Mrs. Gayle French of Traverse City; one brother, Wayne E. Sewell of Linden and several nieces and nephews. Her parents, Roland E. and Angeline (Nellie) Sewell of Fenton are deceased. The funeral service will be held Friday Morning at 10:15 o’clock from Stapish West and 11 o’clock in St. Anne Church with Rev. Fr. C. N. McEachin officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Kawkawlin.
