Leo L. Blaisdell, 82, of Kalkaska, passed away on Mon, Aug 16, 2010 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. He was born on Feb 25, 1928 in Pontiac to the late Leo and Violet (Helsel) Blaisdell.
Leo married Dorothy Waltz on Jan 4, 1946 in Cadillac. His hobbies included fishing, camping, and collecting moose memorabilia; although an outdoorsman, eh never hunted moose. Leo was a member of the St Paul Lutheran Church and Kalkaska Moose Lodge.
Leo was sruvived by his wife, Dorothy, who passed away three days later. Surviving Leo are his children, Leo "Floyd" (Sharon) Blaisdell of Kalkaska and Debbie (Eric Wildman) Cone of Houston, TX; his grandchildren, Dr. Chelsea (Jason) Gray, Alicia Cone, Mark (Marge) Blaisdell, Kevin Blaisdell, Edson Blaisdell, and Shelly (Bill) Berkshire; 10 great grandchildren; and his siblings, Arvid (Evelyn) Blaisdell and Judy Kay (Ron) Thornburg, all of Kalkaska.
Leo was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Sexton.
Visitation will be held on Wed, Aug 18 from 6 to 9 pm at the Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home. The funeral will be on Thu, at 10 am at the funeral home with Reverend Ted Turanski officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
