Leo Dudley Anderson, 66, of 49 Bel Air Dr. NE, president of VandenBosch, McVoy, Anderson, Ruoff & Peterson, Inc., an insurance agency, died of lung cancer, Thu at Blodgett Memorial Hospital.
Born here, Mr. Anderson was an avid sportsman. Although, he only had one arm due to a childhood accident, Mr. Anderson won skeet shooting citations and was an active fisherman. He owned a cottage on Crystal Lake near Fremont where he pursued his sports activities.
Mr. Anderson had been associated with the insurance agency many years, starting as an agent.
He was a member of the Peninsular Club, the Grand Rapids Association of Insurance Agents, and the Independent Insurance Agents of Michigan.
Surviving are his wife, Vivian; a daughter, Mrs. F. Swift (Susan) Noble of Vicksburg; a brother, William H. of Fife Lake, and five grandchildren.
The body is at the Metcalf Mortuary. A private family service will be held at 2pm Fri in Maple Grove Cemetery, Fremont. A memorial service will be held at 1pm Tue at Metcalf with Dr. Duncan Littlefair of Fountain Street Church officiating.
