Lena May Themm, 67, of Kingsley, died this morning at home.
She retired in 1974 from the GMC Truck and Coach Division in Pontiac after 30 years of employment. After living in Pontiac for 32 years, she moved to Kingsley, where she lived for the past 12 years. She was a member of Fife Lake Baptist Church, the Paradise Flower Club, the Kingsley Area Retirees and the UAW Retirees.
Born February 28, 1921, in Kingsley, she was the daughter of Earl and Mildred (Smith) Newmarch. On Jun 21, 1952 in Traverse City, she married Edward F. Themm, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Edward F. Themm Jr. of Cadillac; five sisters, Vera Riley of Zephyrhills, FL, and Doris Stein, Irene Stremlow, Helen Fritz, and Leona Nye, all of Kingsley; two brothers, Harold Newmarch of Kingsley, and Jay Newmarch of Sparta; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She was proceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Floyd Newmarch.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm Mon at the Covell-Smith Funeral Home, Kingsley. Dr. James Moody will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Kingsley.
Friends may visit from 7 to 9 tonight and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Sun at the funeral home.
