Mrs. Lena E. LaMay, 93, of Kalkaska, died Sep 16, 1998, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Mrs. LaMay resided in Flint prior to moving to Kalkaska in 1960. She was a member of the Lac Courte Oreilles Tribe of Reserve, WI, and enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and her family.
Mrs. LaMay was bornin Reserve on Feb 17, 1905, to Peter and Josephine Gurnow Wetenhall. She married Sidney LaMay in Duluth, MN on Sep 20, 1922. He preceded her in death on Mar 5, 1981.
Surviving are son Bruce LaMay of Flint; daughter Constance Bodary of Kalkaska; brother Cornelius Wetenhall of Fairview; and grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Sons Blaise (Frenchy) and Sidney LaMay Jr and daughter Donna Genella preceded her in death.
A memorial dinner will be held at Sigma School in Oliver Township on Sat, Sep 26, from 1 to 3 pm.
