Lauris Marie Maresh, born in Goodland, Kansas, April 8, 1922. She passed away May 31, 2004. During World War II she worked as a “Rosie the Riveter” at the Boeing Co., where she met James E. Maresh. They married December 9, 1943. He preceded her in death in December, 2000. Lauris worked at Albertson’s grocery store before retiring after 28 years. She enjoyed gardening and especially loved spending time with her family. She was also actively involved with her church. Survivors include son James L. Maresh and wife Mary, daughter Nancy Jenkins and husband Lonnie, six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren.
A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 245 Valley Avenue in Sumner, Washington, June 6, 2004 at 2:00 PM. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
