Mrs. Laura M. Johnson, 94, of Prudenville, formerly of Kalkaska, died Fri, Dec 16, 1994, at Meadows of Grayling.
Mrs. Johnson had been a resident of Kalkaska for many years prior to moving to Prudenville about 1972. She was a past matron of Wayne Chapter 136 O.E.S. and had been active in Columbia-Elona Chapter 99 O.E.S. She enjoyed ceramics and crocheting.
Born in Detroit on Dec 16, 1900, she was the daughter of Amandus and Lillian Marcout Wissinger. She was married to Harry Johnson who preceded her in death.
Surviving are one, Ralph Moehlig of Royal Oak; four grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
One sister, Rea Lownds and two brothers, Amandus and Charles Wissinger preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Sun, Dec 18, 1994, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. Paul Karges, pastor of The Peoples Church, officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
