Laura C. Hoyt TRAVERSEC Laura C. Hoyt, 76. died Saturday at Munson Medical Center.
She was born in Suttons Bay, July 12, 1905. the daughter of Edward A. and Caroline (Moe) Olson She spent 22 years in the Detroit area, returning to the Traverse City area in 1955. She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church where she was very active in many organizations. She belonged to the Sons of Norway of Traverse City, and the Suttons Bay Club.
On Nov. 2, 1925, she married Owen A. Hoyt.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. George (Jacqueline) Saito of Novi. Mrs. Robert (Linda) DeLorme of Big Rapids; one son, George Gary ol Wixom; four sisters. Mrs. Josephine Herman of Suttons Bay, Mrs. Helen Hein and Mrs. Betty Johnson of Traverse City and Mrs. Evelyn Meek of Hazel Park; two brothers, Albert and Lewis Olson of Traverse City: many nieces and nephews; five grand children and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by three brothers.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 1 p.m., at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church with the Rev. L W. Dunkle officiating. The family will receive friends from 4-9 p.m., Monday, and 4-9 p.m., Tuesday at the Martinson-Covell Funeral Home of Traverse City. Memorials may be directed to he Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
