Laura A. Stimson, 86, of 4435 North Branch Road, died Friday, Nov. 27, 1981 in Lapeer County General Hospital after a long illness.
She was born Oct. 25, 1895, in Brown City and was a former Brown City resident.
She married Ernest Stimpson Oct. 25, 1916, in Brown City. He died Dec. 24, 1968.
She is survived by a son, Marvin, Kingston; three daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Arlene) McLaughlin, North Branch and Zephyr Hills, Fla., Mrs. Edward (Lois) Fournier, Tuscon, Ariz., and Mrs. Eldon (Joy) McMann, Tallahassee, Fla.; a brother, Roy Clark, Brown City; two sisters, Ina Turner, Carsonville, and Mrs. Otis (Edith) Shepard, Mesa, Ariz.; 14 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
An infant daughter, a granddaughter and two sisters died earlier.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Blackburn Funeral Home. The Rev. Fred Kinkle, of the Fosteria Baptist Church, and the Rev. David Lott, of the First Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Brown City.
