Larry L Johnson, 55, of Rapid City, died Tue, Aug 29, 1995, at his home.
He had been a lifelong resident of Kalkaska County, and was a 1957 graduate of KalkaskaHigh School. He formerly worked as a meat cutter at Glen's Market, and for the past 14 years, had been employed by the Fuelgas Company in Kalkaska. He was a member of the Kalkaska Moose Lodge No. 2348, and was affiliated with The Peoples Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, gardening, and his grandchildren.
Mr. Johnson was born in South Boardman on Sep 8, 1939, to Lloyd and Christina Petty Johnson. He married Leonette Hanson on Jan 11, 1958, in South Boardman. She survives. Also surviving are one son, Ronald Johnson of Kihei, HA; three daughters, Kim Gibson and Ardeith Larson both of South Boardman, and Christine Bissett of Rapid City; his mother, of South Boardman; one brother, Gary Johnson of Logansport, IN; two sisters, Patricia O'Keefe of Saginaw, and Norma Helbig of Modesto, CA; brother in law, Richard Hanson of Los Angeles, CA; and eight grandchildren.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Stanley Johnson.
Funeral services were held Fri, Sep 1, 1995, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. Paul Karges pastor of The Peoples Church, officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
