Kenneth W. Davern, 21, of Kalkaska, died Mon, May 7, 2001, of injuries suffered in an automobile accident near Bourbon, MO.
Kenneth lived in Kalkaska most of his life, and was a 1998 graduate of Kalkaska High School. He was a member of the 182nd Transportation Company, U.S. Army Reserves, and the American Legion. He had been employed as a residential carpenter.
He was born in Chillicothe, OH on Mar 24, 1980.
Surviving are his mother, Sally Davern of Kalkaska; father, Kenneth W Davern of Lapeer; sisters, Kelly Marie Davern and Kerry Jean Davern; maternal grandfather, Glen Best of Kalkaska; paternal grandmother, Billie Jean Davern of NC; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Louella Best, and paternal grandfather Michael Davern.
Funeral services were May 11, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska; Pastor Mark Pietscher and Duane Whitley officiated. Burial was in Garfield Township Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
