Kenneth R. Macomber, 68, of Kalkaska, died Sat, Jan 16, 1999, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
Mr. Macomber moved to Kalkaska from Richland in 1971. He owned and operated K-M Products. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, and was a member of Land O'Lakes VFW Post 8684 and the Kalkaska Seventh Day Adventist Church. He enjoyed flying, sports, and the outdoors.
Mr. Macomber was born in Saginaw County on May 31, 1930, to Oliver and Mary Bratfish Macomber. He married Annette Nelson in Kalamazoo on Sep 29, 1956.
Surviving are his wife Annette; children Linda Macomber of Truckee, CA, Gary (Gail) Macomber of Weimar, CA, Judy Cox of Ogden, UT, and Susan Thomas of MO; brothers Roy of OR, Donald of Plainwell, Cecil of Kalamazoo, Oryville of Cincinnati, OH, and Harry of Hickory Corners; sisters Jean Fry of Richland and Esther Macomber of Portage; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services were held Jan 19 at Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska; Pastor Jeffery Arthur officiated. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
