Kenneth J. Hayward, 74, of 4010 E. Main St., died Saturday, June 1, 1985, in Lapeer County General Hospital after a short illness.
He was born June 15, 1910, in Elk Township. He married Shirley Westover April 12, 1941, in Bowling Green, OH.
Mr. Hayward attended Peck Schools.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley, Marlette; four daughters, Mrs. Leonard (Sandra) Bennett, Mrs. Tom (Brenda) Owens, Debbie Hayward, and Mrs. Lyman (Pam) Owens, all of Brown City; four sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Sharron, James and Ruth, and Delbert and Jan, all of Brown City, and Robert and Diane, Peck; 26 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. James (Irene) Cornell, Brown City, and Mrs. Lenora Payne, Metamora.
A brother, Clarence, died in 1984. A brother, Delbert, was killed in action in World War II.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Carman Funeral Home, Brown City. The Rev. Larry VanSlambrook, pastor of Brown City United Methodist churches, will officiate. Burial will be in Omard Cemetery.
