Kenneth E. Allen, 73, of Kalkaska, died Sun, Mar 3, 1996, at his residence.
Mr. Allen had been a lifelong resident of Kalkaska County, and was a self-employed building contractor. He served in the U.S. Army during WW2, and was a life member of Land O'Lakes Post 8684, V.F.W., the D.A.V., and the Military Order of the Purple Heart. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, and woodworking.
Mr. Allen was born in Kalkaska on May 25, 1922, to George and Laura Fryhover Allen.
On Nov 20, 1948, in South Boardman he married Harriet Sieting who survives.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Terry Sieting of Kalkaska; two daughters, Willodean Golden of Kalkaska and Judy Hock of Grand Rapids; three brothers, Max, Lawrence, and Richard Allen all of Traverse City; six sisters, Freda Manes, Lela Patton, and Flossie Manley all of Kalkaska, Hazel Ball of Midland, and Vivian Schictel and Irene Blood both of Traverse City; 10 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons , Valgene Allen and Larry Sieting; one daughter, Winona Allen; three brothers, Russell, Raymond, and Rolland; and two sisters, Geneva and Berneta.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Wed, Mar 6, 1996, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska.
Rev. Paul Karges, pastor of The Peoples Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
