Services for Kenneth A. Hodge, 86, of 3115 Sycamore, Boise, who died Sun, Nov 7, 1982, of natural causes in a Boise nursing home, will be conducted 2pm Wednesday at Summers Funeral Home, with Rev. Marvin Greene, Chaplain, Boise Valley Sunset Home and the Ada County United Veterans Council officiating. Private family interment will follow at Morris Hill Cemetery.
He was born Jan 22, 1896 in Traverse City, MI. He moved to Weiser in 1910. He enlisted in the Idaho Army National Guard and served on the Mexican Border in 1916 and then went to France in 1917. He married Gladys Brisco on Dec 28, 1919 in Weiser, ID. After their marriage they moved to Boise. He was employed by Swift and Company. He then worked for the Idaho Department of Highways as a field supervisor for 20 years, until he retired.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys Hodge of Boise and William K Hodge of Lincolnton, GA; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren; two sisters Naomi Lockwood of Omak, WA, and Anita Mehan of Wenatchee, WA. He was preceded in death by a brother.
