Kathryn "Kathy" Brazie, 55, of Mancelona, left this early world to be with our Father in Heaven on Jan 19, 2011. She was born on Jan 24, 1955 in Lapeer to Philip and Doris (Boucher) Brazie.
When Kathy became an adult she settled in Mancelona with the love of her life, Dale Manes. For the next 36 years they lived a happy life together raising their son Dion.
Kathy lived her life to help others. She worked in the medical field as an emergency medical technician for Kalkaska County and was always there to care for anyone that needed her help.
Kathy loved the oldies music and her favorite country star was George Strait. She was the ultimate Den Leader for her son Dion and loved him with all her heart. Kathy would call all her nieces and nephews her babies. As Aunt Kaky, she was special to each and every one of them.
Kathy and Dale enjoyed traveling, concerts, camping, car shows, and karaoke. Most of all she loved family gatherings. Kathy was ready at the drop of a hat. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Kathy is survived by her devoted partner in life, Dale Manes; her cherished son, Dion; her loving parents Philip and Doris A. Brazie of South Boardman; her dear siblings, Phil (Carolyn) Brazie of Grandview, MO, David (Deirdre) Brazie of Clio, Dennis (Doris) Brazie of Petoskey, Debbie (Jerry) Bricker of Alanson, Patty (Henry) Patton of South Boardman, and Theresa (Brian) Donigan of Kansas City, MO; her mother in law, Freda Manes of Kalkaska; her sister in law, Cathy (Mark) Miller of Empire; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sat, Jan 22, from noon to 2 pm at Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home. Services immediately followed with Reverend Norman J Dickson SJ of St Mary of the Woods officiating.
